BRED FOR EXCELLENCE. BUILT ON LEGACY.
Welcome to Hillstone
Preservation-Bred Labrador Retrievers in Northeast Ohio
Hillstone is a small preservation breeding program dedicated to the Labrador Retriever. Our dogs are thoughtfully bred from health-tested, proven bloodlines with careful attention to temperament, structure, breed type, and the qualities that have made Labradors exceptional companions for generations. Our farm motto is Acta Non Verba, Actions Not Words. We believe a breeding program should be defined by what it does: health testing, evaluating our dogs against the breed standard, studying pedigrees, raising puppies intentionally, and evaluating our breed stock against the standard. Our Labradors are part of our family and our everyday life. They are raised in hand and underfoot on our Northeast Ohio farm, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Our AKC Registered Labradors come from a foundation of excellence. We prioritize health, temperament, and structure. Each of our dogs undergoes rigorous health testing and is bred for versatility - excelling in the field, the home, the show ring, or in service work. We are preservation breeders, and we match puppies based on temperament, purpose, and family compatibility, not simply by order of deposit.

At Hillstone Farms, we specialize in Large Fowl Barnevelders, built on the exceptional stock of Michelle Ward from Little Eden.
Our commitment to quality means that our birds are raised with enrichment, care, and a dedication to their well-being. We are proud to have this dual purpose breed, and are working hard to preserve and protect their heritage.
